Current Projects - Trident Park - Waste To Energy

PMG have sold part of Trident Park (site highlighted in red) to Viridor Waste Management Ltd. Both companies plan to work together to establish a state of the art regional waste management and resource recovery facility on the site. It is proposed that the new facility will be able to handle up to 500,000 tons of waste a year and will cost over £170m to construct. A planning application was submitted in autumn 2008 and Cardiff County Council refused planning permission in July 2009. Viridor are appealing the decision.
