The sale of this Brownfield site of 1.2 acres and with planning permission for 70 residential units has completed today to a Housing Association in Cardiff.
The New Viridor Waste to Energy Plant at Trident Park Cardiff is now fully operational following testing and commissioning through September, October, and November 2014. The facility which will handle 350,000 tonnes of residual waste will generate 30MW which will be exported to the Grid. This is capable of powering up to 50,000 homes. The completion of this plant also sees completion of one of the final phases of this original 50 acre site that was acquired by PMG.
PMG have secured planning permission for a new build scheme on this redundant brownfield site comprising seventy one and two bedroom apartments with 20% of these being affordable units. It is envisaged a number of these apartments will be starter homes for first time buyers.
Lidl have completed the purchase of a new site for a 14,000 sq.ft. food-store for West Cardiff. The deal between Lidl and PMG was agreed on a subject to planning basis and Lidl are expecting to start on site in May 2014.
The Capital Shopping Park at Leckwith in Cardiff has been sold to Re-Assure Limited, Aberdeen Asset Management. PMG developed this shopping park in conjunction with the provision of the new Cardiff City Football Stadium and at the time of its sale it was fully let. This has been a major project to undertake and the significant efforts of those involved will secure the future success of this Retail Park.
